2010 Census: It's in Our Hands

It's vital that we make sure that Grand Rapids gets every dollar available to improve our schools, build quality hospitals, fix our roads and bridges and make our community stronger in every way possible. That's why it's so important that everyone makes their voices heard in the 2010 Census. And if you're looking for a part-time job or want to earn some extra money, the Census Bureau is looking for temporary census takers. These short-term jobs offer good pay, flexible hours, paid training and reimbursement for work-related expenses. Census takers typically work varied hours in their own neighborhoods, up to 40 hours a week. Responsibilities can include locating households, updating address lists and conducting household interviews.
